Road project to make Gilman Springs Road safer Continues (phase 2) October 21, 2013
The County of Riverside is beginning their Gilman Springs Road Safety Improvement Corridor construction project (phase 2) beginning October 21st 2013 and continuing until November 22nd 2013 (45 Days). See the news release for more information. See the latest notice for detours.
This project will rehabilitate the pavement, widen the shoulders and realign several curves along Gilman Springs Road starting southerly of SR-60 to approximately 1.7 miles southerly of Alessandro Boulevard. In addition, construction of a left turn pocket at the intersection of Gilman Springs Road/Alessandro Boulevard and construction of a southbound passing lane starting southerly of Alessandro Boulevard. Gilman Springs Road will be closed between State Route 60 to Bridge Street and Alessandro Boulevard will be closed from Theodore Street to Gilman Springs Road for forty-five (45) days. Access will be maintained for local residents, businesses and their employees when construction is in progress and during the road closure.
