    The Second Annual Senior Health Fair features health care providers offering free vision and hearing tests, skin cancer and bone density screenings, blood pressure checks, and other health screenings. Local law enforcement will be there to accept unused or expired prescription drugs so they can be disposed of safely. Event is 9 am to 2 pm at the Valley-Wide Recreation Sports Center 901 W.   • October 5-7: Stuff A Truck To Help Returning Veterans
    Friday thru Sunday, 8am-4pm,Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1891 S. Santa Fe Ave, San Jacinto. A great way to clean out your excess “stuff” and help raise funds to support returning veterans. In partnership with GOODWILL of Southern California, the VFW is collecting donations of furnture, clothing, and household goods to support vets and their families.

  • October 12-28: The Lisa Project
    All day, Hemet Valley Mall Free. The Lisa Project is a fully interactive multisensory experience that will take you beyond the headlines and statistics about child abuse. This audio tour and media exhibit will lead you on a journey through the lives of children plagued by abuse. At no other time has anyone had the chance to understand the plight of these children and to experience it through their eyes, their ears and their emotions. The Lisa Project promises to raise awareness through education and outreach as you “take a child by the hand” and listen to their story. Some secrets should be told.     In San Jacinto a global grassroots campaign is taking shape. This year, the Ramona Humane Society will be teaming up with international rabies experts to celebrate World Rabies Day on September 28.

    RHS will be offering Rabies shots for your pets at the Ramona Animal Clinic 690 Humane Way
    San Jacinto, CA 92582 for $5 at 8 am-4 pm,
    Friday September 28th. The entire community is welcome.

  • Museum Closed for Month of August
    The museum and mansion will be closed in August, This is a much needed vacation for all the volunteers. The museum will reopen August 31st.
